The first (baby) pass of the hike at a mere 4,400 meters (14,520 feet)

They start herding sheep young in Hebu..

Age agonizing over a confrontation with children. (She usually tries to run away but these two caught her)

Yak. Age.
Jesse.

Shuga La, the highest pass on our trek at..

That is right folks 5,240 meters (17,292 feet). Last time it was way harder.

Jesse in his stylish Yak coat.
Age in her functional Gortex.

Day 3.. Oh! Do we have to go on?

The final pass of our trek at 5100 meters.. Chitu La. All down hill from here.

Since we lost our stove after the first day, we had to cook the old fashion way. Here Jesse tends the fire while Age cooks..

Here are our Tibetian friends who were treking with us.. They were much better at starting fires then us..

Flaming Yak!
Yak butts.

Age attempting a stream crossing..
We didn't see the bridge until we got to the other side.

Day 5.. Samye Monastery! We made it with no stove and only one iodine tablet left!

There was no bus to the ferry.. Everyone just hopped in a truck.

"Ferry" is being generous.. But we got "home" safe and sound.
